The landing page: one course for each age group, 5 to 8, 9 to 12, and 13 and up. Starting a course. A teacher can sign up a whole group, like a classroom or a camp. The introduction. The bar at the top tracks how far along the learner is. A knowledge check: the right answer earns points, and finishing a section earns a badge. A drag-and-drop game: pack the three things that will protect Jason from the sun. The end of the course: four badges, and a certificate to print. The reporting tools: participation by age group, and average scores before and after, question by question. Every learner's answers, pretest and final, question by question. The Apply Cover Enjoy identity: the logo and colors I designed, with the foundation's mark.

A series of age-targeted gamified sun-safety courses. The application has since evolved, but the program is still in use to this day, with the same core content and reporting structure.

Sun Safety ACE (Apply, Cover, Enjoy) is the Enright Melanoma Foundation's sun-safety certification program for young people, with three age-targeted courses: ages 5 to 8, 9 to 12, and 13 and up.

Each course is about 30 minutes of interactive, gamified lessons with full voice-over, ADA-compliant with transcripts throughout. Learners who complete a course are added to a completion leaderboard.

Behind the courses sits a password-protected reporting suite. Across 115 participants, the average score rose from 69% on the pretest to 99% on the final.

The program had few visual assets, so I also designed its brand identity: the logo, the color palette, and design guidelines to keep print and digital materials consistent.
